Texting Rules (applies to most services you use)
Hit Em Up is not designed to be a commercial tool for marketing at this time and you are responsible for using the app accordingly. It is made for you to foster personal connections with people you know and who know you. However, you should always follow carrier guidelines when sending text messages including not sending message content that contain S.H.A.F.T.: Sex, Hate, Alcohol, Firearms and Tobacco. If your messages includes content around these topics, you or your business risk high fines and permanent bans from texting services such as your carrier's SMS features or iMessage. Be Kind
Our app can be used for a lot of usecases, but only some of them are allowed. For you to be in compliance with our community guidelines, you must be kind to others. This means that you must not use our app to send spam, phishing messages, or any other type of message that is not kind. You should never use our app to send messages that are not kind.
Be Respectful
Respect is a two way street. You must respect others and you must respect yourself. You must not use our app to send messages that are disrespectful to others. For example, you must not use our app to send messages that are racist, sexist, or any other type of message that is disrespectful to others or that can cause emotional distress to anyone. You must not use our app to send messages that are disrespectful to anyone.
Be Helpful
Hit Em Up is all about service and being kind to our community. Our app is designed to bring people together in warm environments and encourage each other, help each other, and engage more fully. This means that our app is designed to be used in helpful and productive ways that bring people together for positive interactions. Think: Is my message helpful? Is my message productive? Is my message bringing people together in a respectful way that encourages healthy relationship dynamics? If the answer is no, then you should reconsider sending that message.
Be Honest
When using a service to send messages, it is important never to deceive your audience and recipients. You must not use our app to send messages that are dishonest or that are intended to deceive others. For example, you must not use our app to send messages that are intended to deceive others into thinking that you are someone else or that you are a different person than you are.
Be Transparent
Part of honesty means transparency. While the app is designed to allow you to maintain your contacts' privacy, you should be forthright about who you are and what you are doing. Do not use the app for spamming purposes. Be genuine in your efforts to help.
Be Yourself
We built Hit Em Up to amplify your voice within your community and to help you organize your tribe better (whoever that may be). Use the tool and express your natural voice. Be yourself. Be genuine. Be authentic. Be real. Be you.
